The Scarlett Solo is a 2-in / 2-out USB recording interface featuring an award-winning Focusrite mic preamp plus an additional instrument (1/4") input.
The bright red anodized aluminum unibody chassis looks great and protects the components at home or on the road—and it's so small and portable, you'll want to take it with you. With its USB connection, you can simply plug in to your computer and hit record!
The Solo offers plenty of headroom, making it suitable for condenser, moving coil and ribbon mics, regardless of the source. Phantom power is provided. The 1/4" input can easily handle either line- or instrument-level signals, too—from synthesizer or stage piano, to electric or acoustic guitar.
The halo-style input-signal indicator (a lighted band surrounding the gain knob) glows red if your signal is too hot; the halo turns amber, and then green when the level is no longer clipping.
A large monitor dial controls your speaker or headphone volume. A direct monitor switch on the front panel lets you hear what you’re recording through your speakers or headphones (without the signal having to go through your computer) without any latency.
Includes Ableton Live Lite, as well as Focusrite’s Scarlett plug-in suite. Compatible with all major DAWs, Scarlett plug-in suite provides EQ, Compression, Gate and Reverb. The Scarlett Solo is completely compatible with your Mac or PC.
