Engineers and producers universally list the classic 1073 as a favorite, go-to mic pre. Now Warm Audio has painstakingly recreated these original British benchmark performers in their affordable WA73 Family—preamps available with and without EQ—using custom UK-made transformers and pots, tantalum and polystyrene capacitors, all hand-wired and hand-assembled to help you get the biggest, smoothest sound out of any mic.

Real British Components
Warm Audio’s designers worked with Carnhill Transformers in Cambridgeshire, UK, to create faithful reproductions of the original, vintage transformers. Complex dual-concentric switch potentiometers in the EQ sections of the WA273-EQ are also made in the UK by Blore Edwards (serious, military spec suppliers). Every aspect of these units is intended to help you achieve the smoothest, warmest vintage tones from every ribbon, condenser and dynamic mic in your collection.
