Instead, Flaxwood is the composite of spruce wood and other components providing resonance and strength, creating a truly unique instrument material.
The company is relatively new, but the concept has taken many years to develop and refine before coming to market. I must say, these are very resonant, light and sound really cool.
While the material is unique, the pickups and hardware are among the most storied brands for high quality and great sound.
In addition to the novel wood material used, other notable features include the Flax resonator back plate designed for enhancing acoustic richness and the Tune-X System, allowing for flawless intonation, and tuning consistency. Best of all, the Finnish finish (I couldn't resist since these guitars are made in Finland) will not chip or tarnish, nor will the neck succumb to humidity and temperature changes like traditional wood guitars often do.
