Gretsch G6119T Tennessee Rose Players Edition
w/String-Thru Bigsby, Filter'Tron Pickups, Dark Cherry Stain

The forerunner of today's Tennessee Rose model gained a lot of fans when George Harrison played it on early Beatles records and tours. This new Gretsch version combines the classic single-cutaway hollow body with 2 double-coil High Sensitive Filter’Tron™ pickups for an even sweeter tone and no hum, along with other features geared toward modern players.

The thin, maple-laminate arched-top body features binding and simulated f-holes; chrome “rocking bar” bridge, Bigsby B6GP String-Thru vibrato tailpiece and dark cherry stain (slightly lighter than the classic burgundy finish). The three-piece maple neck has a  bound rosewood fingerboard with Neo Classic thumbnail inlays.

Other features include three-position pickup switch, Master Volume control plus individual volume knobs for each pickup and a Master Tone control, silver plexi pickguard with embossed Gretsch logo and bound headstock with Gotoh locking tuners.

Why We Like Gretsch Guitars

When you think of Gretsch, it’s hard not to think of Mr. Guitar himself—Chet Atkins.

Whether you associate the Gretsch brand with the country gentleman’s impeccable style, rockabilly’s swagger, the Beatles’ early records or music’s newest hitmakers, Gretsch guitars have a unique vibe and appeal. Even with new features geared toward contemporary players, Gretsch guitars have a distinctive tone—and nobody else makes a Bigsby look as cool. But bottom line, there’s simply nothing more eye-catching than a timeless Gretsch.
